Oh my gosh, Denny, your watercolors are so amazing! I thought for sure this was a photo - all the detail you've captured. And such a beautiful job on the skin tones. Excellently executed all around. l/f

H idenny, I was in the office when you dropped this off. I spent many minutes exploring it up close. What a treat! To see it live was incredible - as great as it looks here it doesn't compare to seeing it full size and in person. The subtlety of the colours in the skin tone and in her eyes, the texture of the grass in the foreground, and the maze of branches with their blue "blush" in the background, the tangible softness fo the fur on the hood, and the gentle roll of the hill all add to the ambience of the piece. I like the the placement of the two dark branches to the far left and the wrinkles in the sleeve and the deep shadow of the hood on her shoulder, All these elements and details simply "work" together beautifully, gently easing me around the piece until I rest at her eyes and lips and wonder what she is feeling. pretty cool, Denny! You are a spell-binding story-teller without words.

I am amazed that this is a watercolor! How do you get the smooth skin and the subtle hair that crosses over the black fur trim of the hood. You are a master of the medium.

Whoa. I've been looking at this for 5 minutes up close--and can't believe you pulled this off with watercolor. The jacket, the hues in the skin--my oh my. I can see hours and hours of work put into this. Finely skilled hand shows I needed your inspiration. :) Cheers! -Kerra
